East Kent Golding
Our design aims to honour the place of origin of this legendary hop, Kent. Kent is renowned as a hop-growing county, and it is thought as many as 3,000 hop-drying buildings (known as oast houses), have been built there.
Oast houses can be identified by their distinctive cone shaped roof, which are finished with a slanted cowl. The golden cowl of this design is also a nod to the origin of the golding name, originally used for golden currency.
How does it taste?
A quintessentially British hop. A main-stay of traditional ales thanks to earthy and mildly bittering characteristics. Typically used in aroma applications, it is said to bring lavender, honey, thyme and even a slight spice
